Mtn provide automatic configuration to be sent the customers mobile phone
just send SETTINGS to 3888 in message to receive automatic configuration.
But for some phones that didn't support automatic configuration..here is the settings for manual configuration.
You will need the Access Point Network (APN) and internet configuration settings of networks (MTN, Glo, Etisalat and Airtel) if your phone or device does not receive internet settings automatically. This happens with many phones that people buy and they have to add the APN for the network manually.
Account Name = MTN GPRS
IP Address = 10.199.212.2
Port = 9201 (for WAP) or 8080 (for HTML)
Username = web
Password = web
Access Point Name (APN) = web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
save those settings above and reboot your phone..
If you carefully follow the steps,you will be able to browse the internet.
